One thing I love doing is mixing together a palate of colours and creating a colour totally different from the original one .
The evening when the Jyotirupa Theatre Fest started its four day exhibition of plays in the city, I decided to traipse in with a heady concoction of an ethnic Karbi woven ensemble and accessorize it with a gorgeous Nyishi belt and a bunch of red beads, both gifted to me by my Nyishi extended family in Tezpur.
The 'brew' did make heads turn though!! And why not, Northeast of India is known for its rich tapestry of weaves, not to be found elsewhere in the world! My love, my Northeast!
