38. Stunt driving the monstrous beast!

I always dress for the occasion! And I love it! So too, when my friend Nabajit Roy from Tata Motors told me I could do a test drive ( read that as stunt drive!) of the monstrously lean, mean beast of a machine, the Safari Storm, I couldn't hold back my excitement. I always wanted to be a dirt track racer and this I thought could be a great start.
I decided to give myself into the 70s and so followed my heart. I dressed up in a chiffon and satin dress, with lace on the sleeves and around the hem, lace stockings and my brown suede boots and my butterfly shaped Aldo shades. Perfect for a 'stunt' drive!

37. Variations!

There can be so many different ways to wear the same dress and I can think of thousands. But I have noticed that while experimenting, it is very important to understand the shape of the body. I am pretty rounded near the hips, so it's understandable that I wear dresses that are pretty much A-lined and not stick to my mid-rif. The other thing is that though I am a bolero person, sadly, I have to often steer clear of this favourite piece as it makes me look podgy.
Yesterday afternoon, while dropping Tirus off at the music class, I tried to combine a denim bolero with a short jumper dress but I decided not to as it made my tummy area more prominent. So, I changed into my black corduroy jacket, which gave a very A-line look to the whole ensemble. Tirus said I was looking good in the denim jacket before he took my picture, but I decided to go my way and changed so that I was comfortable. Oh, for a flashboard flat tummy! (SIGH!!)

33. ......tu mera Hero!!

The evening Mika Singh, the bad-man of Bollywood hit the stage in the city, Guwahatians went crazy. A fan following of around 10000 gathered at the grounds of the Royal Global Institution on the 19th of January, 2013.
While I had the time of my life jiving, dancing and emceeing, the crowd went hyper. Finally, when Mika was on stage after a wait of an hour and a half, the crowd literally broke all bounds (read that as barricades!!) to be with their 'Star'. And why not! His songs have always been such super-duper hits. Once on stage, Mika sang non-stop for an hour and a half, while my co-anchor RJ Riyaas and I danced uninhibitedly in the wings. I waited and waited for him to sing my favourite number and finally at the end of the show he sang, while I screamed and shouted for joy!
What a night that was!
