18. OVER THE YEARS!!!!

Mom helped me climb the ropes of fashion with her endless ideas and my fashion journey now seems to be endless. Over the years, fashion has changed and so has my ideas of putting different pieces of clothes together to create something that I have loved wearing and people have loved appreciating.

The pictures that I have clicked have gone through some major and some minor changes but the overall effect has been magical. I have loved every bit of the change ‘cause that is the only thing which has been constant in my life.

17. ROCK 'N ROLL NIGHTS

Northeast being the hub of music, the scene starts getting hot as winter sets in, with Music Fests and Rock shows galore. The mercury runs high on stage and off stage too, with rock fans hungry for music and more.

I, for one love dressing for the occasion and this year has seen me being pretty conscious about what I have been wearing to the music festivals.

Girish Pradhan was performing at the R&B. He sang across different genres and peppered the evening with his enigmatic presence. I decided to wear a dress which I had tried for the first time and it felt good to be wearing it for a pretty laid back evening!

Then Eastern Beats had their Music Fest at Shilpagram. I again decided to try something new; a shirt dress in black satin, buttoned down and rolled up sleeves. I teamed it with a pair of red stockings and my favourite black knee-high boots. I felt good as the appreciations poured in. I knotted a black scarf around my neck....not that it gave me protection from the cold but it sure did give a different look to the ensemble. And the minimum accessories. It felt good doing something different.

16. ALL THAT JINGLE JANGLE OF MY BANGLES!

Some of my friends have never seen me in a salwar kameez, they say. So this post is especially for those ‘new’ best friends who have always found me looking ‘very graceful’ in a traditional get up. They think I should wear more of churidaars and salwar kurtas. And that’s what I have been doing and am loving it!

The salwar kameez is such an outfit, which can be worn practically to any place possible. Be it the office, the movies, dropping off the kids to school, shopping, et al. And these days, brands are cashing in on the aesthetic sense of the growing stylish population, which is again growing bigger by the day! So now, we have salwar suits to suit our every mood, every situation and every place.

So there I am, dressing up for every occasion and mood in salwar kurtas of various different colours, shapes and sizes.
